One of our wonderful parents, Samuel Marsh, is taking on the incredible challenge of running the 2026 London Marathon to raise money for the Centre, in honour of his daughter, Sophie.
We’re so pleased to share that, after a few setbacks including a calf injury and a knee issue, Samuel’s training is firmly back on track! And he’s now building back up and has already reached half marathon distance in training.
As he’s feeling stronger again, he’s also restarting his fundraising efforts. He’s even had his race T-shirt made and Sophie chose the colours herself… of course, her favourite is pink!
Samuel has come up with a fantastic idea for his final long training run (22 miles at the beginning of April). For a £5 donation, supporters can choose a song to add to his playlist and keep him going through those miles. We absolutely love this idea and can’t wait to hear what songs make the cut.
Every penny raised will help us continue supporting the brilliant children and their families across the Forest of Dean. Thank you, Samuel, for your determination, your heart and your commitment to giving back to the Centre. We are so grateful and we’ll be cheering you on every single step of the way!
