Our setting is open 39 weeks of the year (following the Gloucestershire schools terms calendar), Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday, from 8am – 4pm and from 8am – 12pm on Wednesday.   We are closed on bank holidays and for 5 training days each year.  We charge £4.00 per hour and offer up to 36 hours of childcare each week in the following sessions.

 

Early Morning (8am – 12pm)

Morning (9am-12pm)

Short All Day (9am- 3pm)

Long All Day (8am – 4pm)

Early All Day (8am – 3pm)

Late All Day (9am – 4pm)

15 Hours Funding for 3-and 4 -Year- olds

All 3 to 4-year-olds in England can get 570 free hours childcare per year, it is usually taken as 15 hours per week. Your child will be eligible for funding the term after their 3rd birthday, this means the first 15 hours of sessions will be free each week.

 

Our Administrator will issue you with the Early Years Funding Entitlement Form before the start of the next term, which you must complete and return to us.  It is very important that this form is completed correctly and handed in by the date specified as without it we cannot claim the funding and you will be responsible for your child’s session fees.

30 Hours Funding for 3-and 4-Year Olds

You may be able to get up to 1,140 hours free childcare per year, it is usually taken as 30 hours per week.

Your eligibility depends on:

  • if you are working
  • how much you earn
  • your child’s circumstances.
  • your nationality

To receive the free childcare, you must be in receipt of the 30 hours childcare code before the start of the term your child is attending and provide us with this code.  You can apply from when your child is 2 years and 36 weeks old.

When your child turns 3 When they can get 30 hours from Recommended time to apply
1 September to 31 December 1 January 15 October to 30 November
1 January to 31 March 1 April 15 January to 28 February
1 April to 31 August 1 September 15 June to 31 July

• You can apply outside of these recommended date’s, but you might not receive your code in time.
• You must have a valid code by the end of the month before a new term starts and have shown it to us. Please note if we have not received the code at the start of the new term then you will be responsible for the cost of your child’s sessions
• You must reconfirm your eligibility every 3 months and you will be reminded of this via email. If you apply more than 3 months before the term starts, you’ll have to reconfirm your eligibility in your account in order to keep your code valid.

Funding for 2 Year Olds

Your 2-year-old child may get 15 hours free childcare if you live in England and get one of the following benefits:

• Income Support
• Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA)
• Income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
• Universal Credit – if you and your partner have a combined income from work of £15,400 or less a year, after tax
• Tax credits and you have an income of £16,190 or less a year, before tax
• The guaranteed element of State Pension Credit
• Support through part 6 of the Immigration and Asylum Act
• The Working Tax Credit 4-week run on (the payment you get when you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit)

A 2-year-old child may also receive free early education and childcare if any of the following apply:

•they’re looked after by a local council
•they have a current statement of special education needs (SEN) or an education, health and care (EHC) plan
•they get Disability Living Allowance
•they’ve left care under a special guardianship order; child arrangements order or adoption order

To claim free childcare for your 2-year-old you must call the Gloucestershire Family Information Service on 01452 427362 or 0800 542 0202.  If your 2 -year-old child is eligible for funding, you will receive a confirmation email or letter as proof of your entitlement and the funding will begin the term after their 2nd birthday or on the date of the claim if the claim is made later.  Please provide us with a copy of this confirmation.

Funding Childcare Yourself
You can fund all your child’s sessions, or you can top up your child’s entitlement. If you are funding your child’s sessions, then they may start at The Opportunity Centre on the day of their 2nd birthday.
