Can the Centre help me?

HOW WE CAN HELP YOU

The centre is there to provide support to both children and their families. This support can be whatever the need is for the child or family at the time. A child or the family can be referred by statutory bodies i.e. Paediatrician, Health Visitor, Physiotherapist, Portage Worker, Early Years Practitioners, GP, etc. Families can also self-refer by phoning the Centre themselves to ask for advice.

In order to refer you simply need to phone, pop in, email or fill in a referral form and send to the Centre Managers requesting a visit. They will then phone to arrange a visit to the home, where they will:

  • Assess the need of the child or family
  • Explain what services the Centre can offer
  • Explain what services there are available within their area or within Gloucestershire
  • Determine if the family would like to access any of the services within the Centre or receive home visiting support
