Bristol Standards

Bristol Standards

We are proud to announce that our Lead Practitioner Sonia Molyneux has gained the Bristol Standard Award for the year January 2017 to January 2018.

We are very proud of the work all staff do at the Centre and thanks to Sonia’s hard work in gathering the evidence required to put forward her submission for this year’s Bristol Standards Award we have now gained the recognition deserved.

The comments detailed below were received from the validation panel that scrutinised Sonia’s submission.

The validation panel felt that… you really work hard to ensure children are at the heart of what you do and we particularly liked how you involved the children in assessing risks when playing outside, focussing on what they enjoyed and what worried them. Creating a child centred environment is also evident in your practice of encouraging all children to take ownership of their work in displays. We enjoyed reading about how you include all children, particularly the group of pre-schoolers who helped provide a voice for their non verbal friend. Your benefits for children in target 1 are very clear and well written.
